OK, Step 2.
The reason you are visiting this page is because I seek your input as to what you consider funny and worthy of further development. Below you will find the comedians appearing on our first audition show in basically running order of their appearance the night we shot it. The player is below.
This is strictly a copy of the line cut – that is the rough cut of the cameras and audio from the live taping. Taping is just an expression as we don’t use tape anymore; it’s all bits and bytes now. You will see the mic cable fall out a couple of times and a sound problem here and there, as well as poor lighting, some long audience shots, etc. Just ignore all of that as we still have to edit and mix and color-correct and add music and graphics, etc. There is also some objectionable language that will also be removed. These cuts are just straight off the switcher.
This is a rundown of everyone’s ‘set’ (their 5 minutes) from which we will pull together the pilot. What I’d really like is for you to select the 6 comedians that you think offer the best comedy that deserves to be on The Comedy Ward, ranked in order. There are a few select people in this group of reviewers and we are going to select the top 6 and invite them in to do a narrative-style interview that takes place on our Bar set, so that we can get to know these people better. They may talk a bit about the jokes they told during their set – and then we will weave a bit of their interview into their set for a very unique experience.
So please take a few minutes to walk through these clips and give us your #1 – #6 choices so that we can make our determinations and move on to the next phase. The host Pierre is not one of the comedians, so please just rate the others by name. This player has a dropdown playlist with each of the comedians’ names. We’re just looking to put together a weekly Family-Friendly comedy show to help everyone get to know some of these new comedians.
You can shoot the results back to me in an email sent to tim@thecomedyward.com or my other email address. Feel free to send me any other comments you feel may help guide the development of the show. Thanks so much.
