Want to get passes to a taping of one of our great comedy shows. Here’s how…

Passes are available in several ways. We operate on an invitation-only basis, so you nee to be invited. How do you get invited? Glad you asked.

One way is through the comedians themselves. If you are a friend or an acquaintance of one of the performers, then you can often obtain a pass through them. Of course we want an enthusiastic and responsive crowd for our comics, so we encourage them to apply first.

Next we try to cultivate a great audience which helps the performers and results in a more enthusiastic show, so we try to incorporate prior audience members whenever possible.

We also accept newcomers into our studio audience. Much in the same way you would acquire passes to Conan or Kimmel or Ellen, you can apply for passes to The Comedy Ward. We go through a confirmation process as we have a very limited number of seats available for each of our taping sessions, and we want to make sure those positions are filled with comedy fans.

You can apply for passes by sending an email to: passes@thecomedyward.com and we will get back to you with available dates. Everything is done online via email so we can accurately track the process.

We typically shoot our Auditions on Mondays at our studio. Monday Auditions typically features 15 comics each doing a 5-minute set of original material. We roll at 8pm and the audience is seated at 7:30. For the best seats, please arrive prior to 7:30 as we close the entrance at 7:50.

We have various snacks and soft-drinks available. We take a short break at 8:50 so you can snag some more munchies or drinks, and then we hit it again at 9:10  and wrap up by 10pm. The atmosphere is similar to any network television production and it is exciting to watch great comedy in person.

We tape the final Headliners program on Thursdays, and that is just as exciting as the Auditions. The process of applying for passes is the same, so you may be able to obtain passes for either the Auditions or the Headliners in any given week.

The audience is a big part of the show, so be prepared to laugh and become a part of the comedy experience.
